Britain First: A grown up political party?

In the wake of unprecedented numbers of attacks on ethnic minorities, their persons and their property, representatives of all the major political parties have issued statements of condemnation. Even UKIP, small though the party is has joined the chorus of voices expressing shock and horror as the violence against British minorities escalates. This is the grown up thing to do.

Don’t waste your time waiting for BF to make any similar statements though. That’s not what they’re about at all. Having spent 5 years inciting racial and religious hatred they’re hardly likely to condemn it now. Instead the Biffers’ reaction to these appalling events was to publish this.

BF Islam lives freedom dies memeOn Tuesday the news broke about a petrol bomb attack on a halal butcher in Walsall. It’s important not to misunderstand this attack. The homemade bomb was not just thrown into the premises – it was thrown directly at the butcher himself. Fortunately it bounced off him before smashing on the floor, causing extensive fire damage to the building. Had it smashed against the man it was deliberately thrown at he would have been covered in accelerant and burned alive.

Walsall halal butcher arson petrol bomb brexit

This was attempted murder. Once again the British far right inflicts serious violence on an innocent citizen going about his normal, lawful business.

If ever there was a time for us all to cry “Not in my name”, that time is now!

Not in my name!

Not in our name!

Not in the name of this wonderful country!

Not in the name of human decency!

Not in the name of anything worth having.

Britain First must take some responsibility for inciting the wave of hate crime currently terrorising many British citizens. They deliberately and cynically misled their followers, whipping them up into murderous rage by falsely promising them that all their fears would be assuaged by a vote to leave Europe. It’s no surprise that the sense of frustration those ‘footsoldiers’ now feel is being directed at the people whom Paul and Jayda have been scapegoating for half a decade.

We call upon Britain First to join the proper political parties of UK in condemning these outrageous attacks on innocent citizens…

We’re waiting…

Frightening the fash

They’ll tell you they go where they want.
They’ll tell you they’ll never surrender.
They’ll tell you they’re not scared.
They’ll tell you they’re popular.
They’ll tell you all sorts of silly things but the truth is embarrassingly different.

Today saw the culmination of literally months of hard work and undercover ‘espionage’ by British fascists trying to fool Antifa about their whereabouts.

EDL Liverpool 2016 Paul Locke smug bravado

It was a strategy with only limited success. On the one hand they managed to fool several of their own number who turned up at the wrong venues in pathetically small numbers…

They went to Newcastle

They went to Manchester…

EDL Manchester February 27th 2016

They went to Walsall…

All this misdirection backfired on the fash who might have managed to double their turnout to something approaching 150 if they’d been more honest. The problem with paranoid groups like these is that they can’t even trust their own members enough to tell them the truth. The result was obvious.

Fortunately for them the Antifa information was more accurate and so the opposing forces (that the fascists were so unafraid of) turned up at the right place, after all. Once again the courageous patryoots were surrounded and terrified in Liverpool.

EDL Liverpool February 28th 2016

These brave fascists who go where they want (as long as nobody minds) were thoroughly terrified by the Antifa, who apparently don’t scare them a bit. They stayed safely behind police lines whilst the opposing numbers grew until several hundred Antifa made it clear just what they thought of them.

Their cowardly cowering surely didn’t impress the handful of Polish Nazis who had made the trip in solidarity with their British counterparts. Apparently the spirit of solidarity doesn’t stretch both ways as the fine, brave British boys left their Polish mates to get a really good kicking from Antifa. The cream of English white trash were too busy hiding behind Liverpool’s genuinely brave police to offer their international comrades any assistance. NFSE, eh? We think not!

Where were the Biffers whilst all this was going on? You may well ask. They were in several places.

Their illustrious leaders began the afternoon in Bromley police station where they were required to answer bail. Of course, they’d much rather have been in Luton but the law is the law and they’re getting more and more frightened of breaking it. So much for their oft-asserted disregard for the corrupt rules of an Islamist British establishment!

Then they moved to an undisclosed location (not too far away actually) to direct proceedings in Luton where the rest of their ‘band of brothers’ were causing trouble out of uniform. They’re scared of breaking the law too.

They might not have been all that scared though. Apparently Pieman Lewis has been arrested for assaulting a woman. The news of his arrest is still unconfirmed and it may not be true but it’s plausible enough.

He has a history there, as do all the Biffers. They’re much more likely to have a go at women than men. It was Lewis, after all who bravely intimidated a tiny, middle-aged anti UKIP activist in Margate last year. It was Lewis who thought nothing of attacking a group of mainly female performance artists in London and it was Lewis who bravely surrendered the original Britain First banner to male Antifa in Trafalgar Square. These brave white folks really are impressive, aren’t they?

EBF BF Law abiding Biffers political uniform Luton Smurf Bail Fransen Golding.jpgThe really interesting thing about the Biffers in Luton today is the lack of political uniform though (unless you count a Smurf costume as ‘uniform’). The transparency is obvious to everyone except the Biffers themselves who still seem to think this sad handful of ‘paytrioots’, now stripped of even their cherished uniforms are actually doing something constructive. In reality they’re just as scared as the rest of Britain’s racist, fascist groups.

Bloody entertaining though!

Don’t suffer – go to Suffa instead

Suffa Bolton weekly food delivery homeless and hostelWe have heard so much that is negative about Islam and about individual Muslims from Britain First’s propaganda machine that it’s easy to forget the real people behind the slander. Muslims, just like the members of every other human group vary. Some are nice and some are nasty. Some are criminal and some abide by the law. Some are extremists (like their Biffer counterparts) and some are exceptional in their kindness and in their humanity.

We recently learned about the Suffa project, a Muslim led organisation intended to help homeless people (‘Suffa’ is the Arabic word for ‘Shelter’). The inspiration for the project comes from the Islamic instruction to provide food for the hungry and shelter for the destitute.

In Suffa’s own words…

“Our intention is to seek the pleasure of Allah by acting upon the numerous teachings of the Qur’aan and sayings of His Messenger (sallAllahu alaihi wa sallam) that exhort the feeding of the poor and welfare of the destitute.”

The idea began in Birmingham during the month of Ramadan, the period of fasting in which Muslims are called upon to fast during daylight hours and use the money saved to help others. A group of Muslims began simply by walking around the W. Midlands city providing cups of tea, biscuits and some non-judgemental interaction to the rough-sleepers they encountered. That was in 2011. Since then Suffa has developed into a year-round project and it’s spreading to other British towns as well.

With bases in Birmingham, Walsall, Sheffield, Leicester, Coventry and Bolton the organisation provides thousands of meals to hungry, homeless people and it has plans to develop even further, eventually aiming to provide both financial assistance and training to help people get back on their feet again.

You can learn more about the Suffa project here.
