Rights the Allies already fought for

Britain First recently posted this (ironic for them) image.

We agree. Those rights include the right to freedom of conscience and religious expression and the right to freedom from discrimination. They also include the right to fair treatment under the law and freedom from exploitation. All these rights are to be found enshrined in the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) which effectively guarantees that Nazi groups like Britain First will never again gain a foothold anywhere in any European country (including UK) that has signed up to it.

These rights are very well established and certainly beyond the gift of tin-pot neonazis to undermine. They originated with the United Nations Universal Declaration on Human Rights before being adopted by the European Convention and latterly introduced into UK domestic law with our own Human Rights Act.

Face it guys – you’ll never be able to revive Hitler’s regime no matter how much rubbish you post on social media.

Corporate Power is Protected

“The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.”

Since they have no authority in UK it’s hard to be sure about the Biffers intentions here. But there’s a lot we can learn from the way they act already.

BF Help for Heroes H4H letter to EBFCertainly they’re very profit orientated. Their entire operation seems linked to the making of money. From begging letters to sales of memorabilia and branded merchandise their relationship with profit is obvious and very, very sordid. They even rip off charities in the name of Biffer profit.

Politically the Biffers threw their weight behind UKIP in the run up to the last parliamentary elections. UKIP’s proposals have been examined in great detail elsewhere and that’s not really what were about here except to make the obvious point that many have argued that UKIP’s policies were intended to support the business elite at the expense of those who worked for them.

It’s no secret that Britain First’s opposition to human rights and the industrial trade union movement would benefit the ‘business aristocracy’ more than any others. There’s also good evidence that Britain First’s own leadership has been courting right wing financiers from Russia and elsewhere.

They have no power in UK but if they ever did gain any it’s unlikely that ordinary working people would benefit from a Biffer government.

Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights

“Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of “need.” The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.”

The second of Britt’s characteristics of fascism is so unBritish it’s really hard to see how anyone could possibly combine this profound malice with the extreme Nationalism of the first characteristic. And yet that’s exactly what Britain First tries to do.

Their contempt for the human rights of non-white citizens (British or otherwise) is breathtaking. Britain First regularly ignores and undermines established legal process to call for the execution and torture of Muslims, Asians, immigrants and others despite their being acquitted of crimes or indeed, not even accused of any.

Fascist BF 2

For Britain First the fact that someone worships in a Mosque is enough to warrant them being gang-raped, burned alive, beaten to death or even sent to gas chambers (we wonder where they got that idea from).

One of the most common themes within Britain First’s propaganda is their hatred for the European Convention on Human Rights and the UK Human Rights Act. The call for both these pieces of law to be revoked goes out almost daily in one form or another.

Like every other fascist group, Britain First is committed to removing Human Rights for all but themselves. This makes them everyone’s enemy. If you’re not a Biffer yourself you’d be at risk if the Biffers ever gained power in UK.
